We produced our quote which we felt was very reasonable only to be told that we where £800 pounds more expensive than Canon.

Fortunately we knew the customer and they trusted us enough to show us the Canon quote. It immediately became apparent that the Canon salesman had not listened to the clients request. He had quoted for a machine which had a 2,500 sheet paper supply but he had not thought about the finished product. His machine had only got the standard 500 sheet catch tray, which would have required the client to be present to remove the finished booklets or the machine would have stopped at 50 sets.

We had quoted for a machine with a document finisher which had a tray capable of receiving & stapling the finished booklets in total.

When we pointed this out to client they contacted the Canon Salesman who somewhat red faced had to add £1700 to his quote.
