The Transfer Belt Assembly has a life expectancy of 200,000 prints, once the life is reached you will  start to notice washed out solids and the Belt will need to be replaced.

If  you are getting feint areas of print,  then this is most probably due to a worn out Transfer Belt Assembly.

Alternatively if are getting smudged lines run with the direction of paper travel then this would indicate worn or damaged Transfer Cleaning Blade Assembly.

NOTE - The main problem related to the Xerox C7020, C7025, C7030 Transfer Belt relates to poor cleaning, if you are getting streaks appear through prints and they are not related to the Drums then there is a very good chance that either the Transfer Belt Cleaning blade unit has become blocked or damaged.

If you open the left hand side cover as in the adjacent picture you will see the end of the Transfer Belt,  look carefully  at the shiny black roller below the fuser unit BEWARE the fuser may be hot and you should not touch the shiny black roller  you may be able to see  toner that is not being cleaned properly on the roller.
